Provider and Eligibility
Klara is provided by Jasper Zimmerling, Leubnitzer Straße 28, 01069 Dresden, Germany. Contact: jasper@zimmerl.ing; phone: +49 176 81222043.
You must be at least 18 years old to create a Klara account. If you use Klara on behalf of a business, you must have authority to act for that business. Consumer status depends on the purpose of the transaction, not the size of a business.
Account Agreement and Service Scope
These terms apply when you accept them and Klara creates your account. Klara provides a personal planning service for projects, tasks, calendar events, and goals, with the features made available in the product. Correct errors in your signup information before submitting; contact Klara to correct account information afterwards.
Creating an account does not itself place a paid order or authorize a payment. A paid plan requires a separate order with the total price including applicable taxes, billing interval, term, renewal conditions, cancellation rules, and any discount conditions clearly shown before you commit to pay. No payment method or recurring charge is authorized by account registration.
Beta features can change and may contain defects. The beta label does not exclude statutory service-quality, update, remedy, withdrawal, or refund rights. Klara is a planning tool and does not provide medical, legal, or financial advice.
These terms and the Privacy Policy are available through the legal pages, where you can download the displayed version. Klara records the version you accept and includes a copy of the account terms in your account-verification email. Your original accepted account terms are available in Settings and your personal-data export when an acceptance record exists. Any paid contract requires its own confirmation in a durable medium.
Account Security and Acceptable Use
Keep your login credentials and recovery key secure and notify Klara promptly of suspected unauthorized access. Use the service lawfully and only upload or connect data you are entitled to process. Do not bypass access controls, interfere with other users, distribute malware, or overload the service.
You retain your rights to the content you enter. You authorize processing only as needed to provide the requested service and integrations, subject to the Privacy Policy and any applicable business-customer DPA. Klara does not acquire ownership of your workspace content.
Encryption, Integrations, and AI
The Privacy Policy identifies the fields encrypted in your browser and the metadata that remains readable by the server. Encryption depends on your device, account credentials, and recovery-key handling. Keep a recovery-key copy: if no valid key or usable password-wrapped backup is available, encrypted content may be unrecoverable. This does not limit your rights where Klara is responsible for a defect or loss.
Google Calendar connection and AI assistance are optional. Connecting a calendar authorizes the event operations described in the selected synchronization mode. Review the selected calendar and mode before connecting. Third-party availability can affect these features.
AI suggestions can be inaccurate and must be reviewed before saving. Information deliberately submitted to AI assistance is processed by the named provider as described in the Privacy Policy. Google Calendar data is not submitted to the AI goal features.
Termination, Suspension, and Data
You may end your account agreement at any time by deleting your account or contacting Klara. Export the data you want to keep first. Deletion of a product account and withdrawal of a separate mailing-list subscription are separate actions.
If you later purchase a paid plan, its order must specify how to cancel, when cancellation takes effect, and what happens to access and prepaid fees. Account deletion does not substitute for a missing paid-subscription cancellation mechanism; Klara must provide the applicable cancellation process before selling subscriptions.
Klara may restrict access when reasonably necessary to address a security incident, unlawful use, or a material breach of these terms. Unless immediate action is necessary or prohibited by law, Klara will explain the reason and allow a reasonable opportunity to address it. Any termination of a paid service remains subject to the contract and mandatory consumer rights.
Liability and Statutory Rights
Klara is liable under applicable law. These terms do not exclude liability for intentional conduct, gross negligence, injury to life, body, or health, or any other mandatory liability. Statutory consumer remedies for digital services remain unaffected.
German law applies. Consumers retain the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of their habitual residence where applicable. Statutory jurisdiction rules apply; these terms do not impose an exclusive business court on consumers.
Changes and Contact
Klara will notify you of material proposed changes to these terms. Changes requiring agreement take effect only after the necessary agreement is obtained; continued use is not treated as blanket acceptance of new prices or material contract terms. Paid-service changes remain subject to applicable statutory requirements.
